Jaipur Trails Part 1 : Chour Ghati | Butterfly Valley | Trekking Hiking Destinations in India
Starting a new video series on trails of Jaipur for the trekking and hiking enthusiasts.
This is first video of series where we explored the trail called ‘Chour Ghati’ located in the hills behind Galta Temple (Monkey Temple) at Jaipur.
Main entry point to the trail is from Galta temple but there is another way to enter which is from a gaushala (cowshed) located on the way to ‘Khole Ke Hanumanji’ temple, we started the trek from that side.
Most part of the trail is on the hilltop. The forest is very dens here and full of thorns so appropriate clothing is advised. The valley is home of few panthers and leopards so one has to be extra careful for himself as well as for the resident animals.
There are few viewpoints where beauty of nature can be witnessed at the full glory. Mid part of the trail is like butterfly valley where lots of colorful butterflies can be witnessed. Last part of the trail is in the valley where an old anicut is located, good photography and relaxation point.
Usually Galta temple is entry point but since it was exit point for us, we witnessed lots of monkeys on the way. We hired e-rickshaw to go back to the gaushala where we parked our car.
We cleaned the thorns at the end before entering the car, time-lapse of that parts is included in the end along with some beautiful photographs. Feel free to write in the comments about how do you like the video, any suggestions, anything you want to ask about the trail.
